Who is behind the FBZ?

BBA GmbH. The FBZ is a business line of BBA GmbH, which also provides expert reports and consulting. The managing director is Dr.-Ing. Jörn Budde.

How did the FBZ come about?

From expert practice. In expert reports and on site, Jörn Budde kept seeing the same mistake: the waterstop in the construction joint between base slab and wall was installed incorrectly, dimensions and requirements were not met. Recurring damage followed.

Instead of only assessing these mistakes, he looked for a constructive solution. The result is the FBZ: a molded element that is pushed onto the waterstop from above, guides it to the center and holds it in place during the pour. This reduces a common installation error source at the base-to-wall joint by design.
